Warrant Officer Emily Chao Awarded Major General Howard Medal

We are proud to announce that Warrant Officer Emily Chao has been awarded the Major General Howard Medal by the Army Cadet League of Canada.

The Howard Medal is awarded to the top Gold Star (Year 4) graduate in the province and is one of the most prestigious awards in the Army Cadet Program.

Selection for the award is based on academic performance, extracurricular achievement, and community engagement in addition to proficiency in the cadet program.

WO Chao is 2947’s fourth Howard Medal winner in four years, following an historic double award in 2015 (WO Yolanda Jin and WO Christy Chow), and WO Asa Lau’s award in 2016.

Congratulations to WO Chao on this fantastic achievement, and for demonstrating what it means to be a model cadet.
