Three senior cadets from 2947 were presented Letters of Offer for prestigious summer opportunities.
Sgt David Cai and Sgt Daniel Cai were both selected for the Fullbore Phase 2 (FB2) Course after having qualified within the Top 30 Best Shots at a national level during the Fullbore Phase 1 Course (FB1). FB2 will be held in Connaught, Ontario located just outside of Ottawa. The Sergeants Cai will spend the summer intensively training on competition rifles and are seeking selection for the National Rifle Team the following summer.
Warrant Officer Joyce Li was selected for the Maple Leaf Exchange in the United Kingdom. Fewer than 100 cadets from across Canada are selected for this opportunity every year, and WO Li earned her seat after strong performance on the Army Cadet Leadership and Challenge Course (also another national opportunity) held in Banff, Alberta last summer. The exchange is an opportunity of a lifetime. Training includes adventure training, historical and cultural activities, and cross-training with the British Army Cadet Force.
All three cadets join a long line of 2947 cadets who have demonstrated excellence at a national and international level. Congratulations to all on their hard work, and continued dedication to making 2947 “39 Service Battalion” RCACC the best youth organization in all of Canada.
